Fire crews extinguish brush fire in Browne’s Addition

SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane fire crews worked to put out a brush fire in Browne’s Addition near South Coeur d’Alene Street late Friday night.

According to the Spokane Fire Department, the fire began around 10 p.m. It expanded to 200 feet by 75 feet in size before being extinguished.

Spokane police officers were on standby at the scene in case evacuations were necessary, but no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
