
LACLEDE, Idaho – The Selkirk Fire District responded to a commercial structure fire at the Laclede Mill on Tuesday morning.
Around 1:40 a.m., firefighters discovered the flames burning within the mill’s exhaust vents. Selkirk Fire officials said the facility’s automatic sprinkler system activated, helping to suppress the fire before they arrived.
A ladder truck from the Sandpoint Fire Department allowed firefighters to access the exhaust system and quickly tackle the fire.
Selkirk Fire officials reported minor damage to the facility and confirmed no injuries occurred.
