The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced a recall of “Tippy Toes” Apple Pear Banana Fruit Puree due to potential health risks. Initiative Foods issued the recall after discovering high levels of patulin, a toxin from molds that can grow in fruits like apples.
The baby food was distributed nationwide, excluding Alaska, in two-pack plastic tubs with a best by date of July 17, 2026.
The FDA warns that patulin exposure can lead to health issues over time.
No illnesses have been reported so far. Parents are advised to check their products and the FDA website for details.
