CHELAN COUNTY, Wash. – Several items were found during a that may be connected to Travis Decker, the main suspect in the murder of his three daughters near Rock Island Campground.

The search began on August 25, and its mission was to locate Decker, any signs of his whereabouts and further evidence in the murder of his daughters.

“Search personnel recovered several items that are being examined to determine if they are related to this investigation,” Special Agent in Charge of FBI Seattle W. Mike Herrington said in a press release.

The FBI said that over 100 personnel were deployed across multiple search teams for the full two-day operation. Over 1 million square meters, or 247 acres were searched and documented.

Agencies across Washington state collaborated in the search with FBI Seattle, including the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office and the Yakima Police Department.

The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office is still the lead agency in the Decker investigation.

“A search of this magnitude and detail has not previously taken place in this area,” Herrington said. “We not only accomplished our goal of covering the entire area intended for this operation, but we also searched beyond the primary search perimeter.”

The FBI urged the public to call 911 immediately if they see Decker, not to contact or approach him, and consider him armed and dangerous.
