SPOKANE, Wash. – The United States has filed a motion for the detention of Brenna Marie Doyle after she was arrested for allegedly threatening an FBI agent and their family, according to an official document from the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Washington.

The arrest, which occurred in Spokane at the request of FBI Minneapolis, followed three disturbing voicemails left by Doyle in which she threatened to kill the agent, his wife and child. The FBI emphasized that threats against law enforcement officers and their families would not be tolerated.

The motion for detention was filed under 18 U.S.C. § 3142(e) and (f), citing a serious risk of obstruction of justice. The United States is seeking detention on the grounds that no condition or combination of conditions would reasonably assure Doyle’s appearance in court or the safety of any other person and the community.

The court document further requests that Doyle have no contact, direct or indirect, with any potential victims or witnesses in the investigation. This includes all forms of communication, such as telephone, mail, email, text, video, social media and contact through third parties.

The detention hearing is requested to be conducted after a continuance of three days.
