
SHOSHONE COUNTY, Idaho – A tragic motorcycle accident near Smelterville claimed the life of a Kingston woman.
According to an official report, the crash happened at approximately 10:25 a.m. on September 7, 2025, on westbound I-90 at milepost 48.5.
A 67-year-old Kingston man was riding a 2002 Harley Davidson with a 66-year-old female passenger when the back tire blew.
The motorcycle lost control, causing both riders to crash. Despite wearing helmets, the female passenger’s helmet came off during the accident, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The male driver was taken to a local hospital.
Authorities blocked the right lane for about two hours following the crash. The Idaho State Police are conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident.
