TULALIP, Wash. – The Tulalip Resort Casino is buzzing with excitement as fans place their bets on the Seattle Mariners, as the League Championship Series continues.
Brandon Jones, director of sportsbook at Tulalip Resort, reported a notable rise in betting activity.
“There’s definitely been an uptick in bets. For the number of bets, I think we’ve seen approximately a 33 percent increase in bets on MLB, in particular on the Mariners,” Jones said.
Jones shared that a significant $6,000 bet was recently placed on the Mariners. However, it’s an $8,000 pre-season bet that could bring a big payout. If the Mariners make it to the World Series, that gamble would yield $160,000.
Currently, the Mariners are at +210 to advance to the World Series.
As the team’s homestand continues, the casino anticipates even more fans joining in on the action.
