NEENAH, Wis. – The community of Neenah, near Green Bay, is in mourning for Kootenai County Fire and Rescue Battalion Chief Frank Harwood.
Harwood graduated in 2001 and was a member of the high school’s football team. His childhood friend, Mike Robinson, shared memories from their school days.
“He was just one of those good, decent friends. It was great to see him evolve into a dad, and a firefighter, a professional. Always out there willing to help and sacrifice,” Robinson said.
After high school, Harwood moved out west, served in Iraq and later became a firefighter. Harwood was 42 years old.
