Expect detours on Greene Street in Spokane through August 11th

SPOKANE, Wash. – Travelers in Spokane should be aware of a significant detour on Greene Street.

Starting today and lasting through August 11, southbound Greene Street is closed between E. Illinois Avenue and E. Mission Avenue, the Washington State Department of Transportation said in a release.

WSDOT said the closure is due to crews installing new drain lines for the North Spokane Corridor project.

Drivers heading south on Greene Street will need to take a detour.

The detour directs traffic to turn right on E. Illinois Ave., then left on N. Perry Street, and finally left on E. Mission Ave. to rejoin southbound Greene Street.
