OKANOGAN COUNTY, Wash. – A level 3 immediate evacuation order has been issued by Okanogan County Emergency Management (OCEM) for a fire near State Route 153, milepost 2526, affecting the areas around Carlton and Twisp.
The order was prompted by a fire that began burning close to Taylor Road. Residents are urged to evacuate immediately and remain alert for emergency vehicles in the area. OCEM emphasized not to wait for door-to-door notifications.
