Chelan County Emergency Management has issued updated evacuation levels for areas near Ardenvoir and Plain due to the Lower Sugarloaf Fire.
In Ardenvoir, a Level 3 evacuation order is in place for Mad River Road, starting from address 427 and extending up the road. Residents in this area are advised to leave immediately.
A Level 2 evacuation order, which means residents should prepare to leave, is in effect for Mad River Road up to and including address 426. Other areas under this order include Arden Road, River Road, Moe Ridge Road, Mill Street, Red Hill Road, and Two River Road.
A new Level 1 fire advisory is now in place for both sides of Entiat River Road, from Roaring Creek to the end of Entiat River Road. Residents in this area should stay alert for wildfire activity.
In Plain, a Level 2 evacuation order affects the Upper Chumstick Highway, including Merry Canyon Road, Dry Creek, Moon Creek, and Second Creek roads. Little Chumstick Road is also included in this order.
A Level 1 fire advisory is issued for the east side of Chumstick Highway from Eagle Creek to Little Chumstick, including spur roads and driveways. Deep Creek Road, Nahahum Canyon including Indian Rock Lane, Olalla Canyon Road at milepost 1 and up, Hay Canyon Road from the end of pavement and up, and Derby Canyon Road from 9800 and up are also under this advisory. Additionally, Entiat River Road from Roaring Creek Road to Mud Creek Road, including Roaring Creek Road, is affected.
CHELAN COUNTY, Wash. – The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office issued Level 2 and Level 3 evacuation orders for the Ardenvoir area due to the Lower Sugarloaf Fire, which has burned over 4,000 acres.
Chelan County Emergency Management (CCEM) announced Level 3 evacuations for residents on Mad River Road, at address 427 and above. (i.e., 427 Mad River Road, 428 Mad River Road, 429 Mad River Road, etc.) These residents were urged to leave immediately due to the urgent threat posed by the fire.
Level 2 evacuations were issued for Mad River Road addresses 426 and below, (i.e., 426 Mad River Road, 425 Mad River Road, etc.) along with Arden Road, River Road, Moe Ridge Road, Mill Street, Red Hill Road and Two River Road. Residents in these areas should be ready to leave at short notice.
