The Level 2 evacuation for the Dry Gulch Road and Vinatieri Road area has been downgraded to a Level 1 advisory.
According to Okanogan County Emergency Management, the fire remains active near Old Brunham Road, and residents in the surrounding area are urged to remain cautious and aware.
OROVILLE, Wash. — A Level 2 “Be Ready” evacuation notice has been issued for a fast-moving wildfire near Vinatieri Road, Landen Lane, Haley Mountain Road and Burnham Ridge Road.
According to Okanogan County Emergency Management, the fire is spreading rapidly in the area of Chesaw Road and Dry Gulch Road. Residents are urged to remain alert and take immediate action if they feel unsafe. Officials warn not to wait for door-to-door evacuation notifications.
Emergency vehicles are actively responding, and residents are advised to use caution in the area. This may be the only warning issued, and preparedness to evacuate is critical.
Emergency Management said that they will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as needed. Residents should stay informed and be ready to evacuate if conditions worsen.
