
GRANT COUNTY, Wash. – A 53-year-old man from Ephrata was killed in a two-car crash on State Route 283 on Sunday evening about seven miles northeast of George, according to Washington State Patrol. The other driver was charged with DUI and vehicular homicide.
The crash occurred at around 5:45 p.m.
A 39-year-old from Quincy was traveling southbound on SR 283, according to WSP, when he crossed the center line and struck the 53-year-old who was heading northbound.
The 53-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 39-year-old was transported to Quincy Valley Hospital for his injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
