BOISE, Idaho – Open enrollment for 2026 health insurance with Your Health Idaho starts on October 15.

Your Health Idaho is Idaho’s insurance marketplace, where insurance companies can offer individual health benefit plans. Idahoans can use Your Health Idaho to apply for and receive a tax credit that lowers the cost of their monthly health insurance premiums.

Idahoans on the platform can also qualify for additional savings when enrolled in a Silver Plan, according to Your health Idaho.

“Having health insurance is not only for the peace of mind that you and your family are covered if the unexpected happens, but it can also provide a financial safety net from unplanned medical bills,” Pat Kelly, Executive Director of Your Health Idaho, said. “There are many changes this year, and it’s more important than ever for Idahoans to shop and compare to explore all of their health insurance options.”

Idahoans might see higher premiums because federal policy changes like the expiration of the enhanced Premium Tax Credits, said Your Health Idaho.

Your Health Idaho offers an affordability calculator to help determine what coverage options are available.

According to Your Health Idaho, almost eight out of every ten current enrollees receive a tax credit and many Idahoans also qualify for cost-sharing reductions, which are available on Silver Plans.

Your Health Idaho offers free assistance from a certified agent or broker through their website, which they encourage Idahoans to use while navigating the process and looking for eligible savings.

Open enrollment lasts until December 15 and coverage from enrollment begins on January 1, 2026.
