Early morning fire put out in Coeur d’Alene

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — One person was checked out for smoke inhalation after crews put out a fire at their home early Friday morning.

A post shared by the Coeur d’Alene Fire Department on Facebook said investigators were still looking into what caused the fire.

According to firefighters, the home near the intersection of Sherman and 10th had working smoke alarms.

Firefighters said the department contacted the owner of the building.

Kootenai County Fire Rescue, Northern Lakes Fire District and the Coeur d’Alene Police Department helped put out the fire and manage the incident.
