SPOKANE, Wash. – A drive-by shooting in North Spokane left a woman injured, and police are actively working to identify those responsible.
The incident occurred in the front yard of the woman’s home. Fortunately, police confirmed that her injuries were not serious.
Despite the ongoing investigation, no arrests have been made, which has left residents on the street anxious and hesitant to speak on camera about the situation.
It has been just over 24 hours since the shooting. Many homes on East Decatur have security cameras, which could be instrumental for police in identifying the vehicle involved and possibly the shooter.
One neighbor mentioned hearing a single shot but did not see the car. She noted that the home is frequently busy with people coming and going. Another neighbor, living four doors down, shared a similar observation, indicating that such activity is not uncommon in the area.
Efforts to speak with a man at the house where the shooting took place were unsuccessful as he declined to comment.
Residents are concerned about future incidents, but police have assured that there is no active threat to the community.
Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to contact Crime Check at 509-456-2233.
