Downtown Spokane street closures begin for Hoopfest 2025

SPOKANE, Wash. – Downtown Spokane is preparing for street closures beginning Friday evening as the city hosts Hoopfest, the world’s largest 3-on-3 basketball tournament.

Closures will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, to accommodate the event, which draws thousands of participants and spectators each year. The following streets will be closed for the duration of the tournament:

1st Avenue from Post to Howard StreetSprague Avenue from Howard to Monroe StreetRiverside Avenue from Browne to Monroe StreetMain Avenue from Lincoln to Browne StreetSpokane Falls Boulevard from Washington to Lincoln StreetSummit Parkway from Monroe to LincolnBroadway Avenue from Monroe to Post StreetMallon Avenue from Monroe to Howard StreetPost Street from Main to Sprague AvenueHoward Street from Main to Spokane Falls BoulevardStevens Avenue from the Washington Street Bridge to Riverside AvenueWashington Street from Main to Sprague AvenueWashington Street from North River Drive to the Washington Street BridgePost Street from Spokane Falls Boulevard to Summit Parkway

All streets are scheduled to reopen Sunday, June 29, at 10 p.m.

Hoopfest is expected to bring significant foot traffic, and drivers are encouraged to plan accordingly and use alternate routes throughout the weekend.
