
SPOKANE, Wash. – Vandals recently struck the Lincoln statue in downtown Spokane.
The vandalism was reported early in the morning on Dec. 26 according to Spokane police.
At this time there is no timeline for cleaning the statue, but the process has been started.
According to City of Spokane Director of Communications Erin Hut, the vandalism was not reported to the city until Dec. 29.
No arrests have been made and the Spokane police are investigating.
