COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – The community has been coming together to support the families of Coeur d’Alene Fire Department Battalion Chief John Morrison and Kootenai County Fire and Rescue Battalion Chief Frank Harwood, who tragically lost their lives in a shooting ambush on Canfield Mountain.
Numerous organizations have stepped up to assist the families of the fallen firefighters along with Engineer Dave Tysdal who remains in critical condition.
The Red & Blue Foundation is accepting donations directly for each family. Contributions can be made through verified links on the foundation’s website.
Additionally, the Jeff Welch Memorial Foundation is collecting funds, with 100% of proceeds aiding families of fallen emergency responders. Donations can also be made at any First Interstate Bank branch, simply by asking to contribute to the Fund for Fallen Firefighters.
In a show of solidarity, Relentless Defender Apparel has partnered with the Red & Blue Foundation to create a memorial T-shirt honoring Harwood and Morrison. All proceeds from the T-shirt sales will go directly to the families.
