Dolly Parton, the beloved country music icon and philanthropist, is celebrating her 80th birthday in a unique way. Instead of receiving gifts, she is giving back to the community.

A new version of her 1977 single “Light of a Clear Blue Morning” is now available, complete with a music video. The proceeds from this release will benefit a children’s hospital in Nashville, focusing on pediatric cancer research.

The song features well-known artists, including Queen Latifah and Miley Cyrus. Parton’s website describes it as “a message of hope and love,” said a spokesperson.

In addition to her music, Parton sponsors the Imagination Library, a program designed to break down literacy barriers. It fosters a love of reading among children by mailing free books to their homes.

The Washington State Imagination Library is encouraging donations of $80 in honor of Parton’s 80th birthday to support the program’s mission.
