DNA links suspect Travis Decker to crime scene

CHELAN COUNTY, Wash. – The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office linked , with DNA evidence to blood samples found on a truck tailgate where his three daughters died.

The Washington State Patrol Crime Lab confirmed the DNA matches Decker’s, confirming the belief that he is the only suspect in this case. Personal items at the scene also match Decker’s DNA, ruling out other suspects.

Search teams, including law enforcement and volunteers, are still actively searching Chelan and Kittitas Counties for Decker.

CCSO said teams of various K9 units and drones are still being used in the search. The National Park Service plans to deploy swift water search teams soon.

Despite extensive efforts, there is no evidence regarding Decker’s current status. Authorities emphasize the importance of public assistance in locating him.
