Oscar-winning director Taika Waititi is set to produce a musical based on the infamous 2017 Fyre Festival and its creator Billy McFarland.
McFarland pled guilty to two counts of wire fraud in 2018 for his role in defrauding investors and vendors for the highly anticipated music festival that made headlines after descending into chaos and the event’s ultimate cancellation.
Waititi is known for directing “Thor: Ragnorak” and “Thor: Love and Thunder.”
