SPOKANE, Wash. – A Spokane Valley Deputy responded to a trespassing call on Tuesday and discovered a delivery truck that had been reported as stolen earlier that day.

The truck, a 1989 Ford F350 flatbed, had been reported as stolen from a business in the Spokane Valley around 8:25 a.m. that morning. According to a report by the Spokane Valley Police Department, the person who called the police said that no one else had permission to have the truck and wanted to pursue charges.

Around 3 p.m. that day, another Spokane valley Deputy responded to a trespassing call about someone who had parked a silver car with a trailer on her property.

When the Deputy responding to the call was near the location, he saw a silver car with no license plates, a 30 foot trailer and a flatbed truck with Washington license plates. He checked the license plate on the truck and learned that it was the reported stolen vehicle.

After calling in extra deputies, they called for anyone in the trailer to exit.

After several announcements, a woman who was identified as Nicki L. Bossard exited the trailer and was detained. After several more announcements, an adult male came out of the trailer and was detailed as well.

Deputies confirmed that the silver car and the trailer were not reported stolen.

Bossard, after being advised of her rights and agreeing to answer questions, explained that she borrowed the truck from a friend, but that she did not know his real name and didn’t ask where he got the truck. She said that he “acquires vehicles often.”

Deputies reported that the truck’s right-side window was broken and that the ignition had been modified so that it wouldn’t need a key to start.

Deputies established probable cause and arrested Bossard for Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle.

The adult man was trespassed from the property and agreed to move the trailer and the silver car from the property. The Spokane Valley Police report said that they did not have probable cause to arrest him.

The owner of the truck also came to take back their vehicle.
