Deer rescue in Loon Lake leads to global interest, charity t-shirt sales

LOON LAKE, Wash. – A deer rescue at Loon Lake has captured the attention of international audiences, with news outlets from India to Austria sharing the story.

The rescue was a team effort involving Stevens County District One crews, Fish and Wildlife officers and local residents. They worked together to save the deer, and photos and video from that morning quickly spread online.

In a heartwarming twist, a local t-shirt company has commemorated the rescue by creating shirts and hoodies featuring the moment.

The company is sharing the profits with the fire district to help purchase new equipment, ensuring there is no cost to the district.
