
EPHRATA, Wash. – A crash, five miles south of Ephrata involving two vehicles, resulted in injuries to both drivers today.
According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP) incident report, an 18-year-old from East Wenatchee was driving eastbound on Road 9 NW when she failed to stop at a stop sign.
Her vehicle struck a southbound car driven by a 26-year-old from Royal City at the intersection with SR 283, WSP said.
WSP investigators said both drivers suffered injuries. The East Wenatchee woman was life-flighted to Confluence Health, while the Royal City man was transported there by ambulance.
Both were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
There was no report of drugs or alcohol involved in the crash. The woman faces charges for failing to stop at the stop sign, WSP said.
