COLFAX, WA – A crash on Wawawai-Pullman Road near Pullman Sunday morning left one person dead, according to a release from the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO).
WSCO deputies and emergency personnel from Fire District 12 responded to the scene and discovered that the vehicle’s sole occupant had sustained fatal injuries.
Preliminary investigations suggest the vehicle was traveling southbound when it veered off the roadway, rolled multiple times and came to rest off the road.
The deceased driver was identified as 33-year-old Alex Papendick from Colton.
