COULEE CITY, Wash. – A man was arrested on Monday after allegedly threatening several people while armed with a rifle, according to a social media post from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.

A woman called 911 at around 10:40 p.m., according to GCSO, requesting a welfare check on a friend she hadn’t been able to contact in a week. She then called again while deputies were en route, stating her friend Ramon Noggles was threatening to shoot her.

“Dispatchers heard a male voice in the background stating he would shoot anyone who came near him,” GCSO said. “The woman was able to flee to safety and reported seeing Noggles holding a .22-caliber rifle.”

GCSO said Noggles also sent threatening text messages to a woman in Moses Lake, saying he would kill her, as deputies were driving to his residence on Road 36 Northeast.

After a few minutes of negotiation outside of the home, Noggles was taken into custody without further incident.

Noggles was arrested and booked into the Grant County Jail on multiple charges including first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, two counts of harassment, one count of stalking and one count of burglary (domestic violence).
