STATE — A recall has been issued for three types of cottage cheese sold under Walmart’s “Great Value” brand due to potential improper pasteurization. This recall affects products sold in two dozen states, including Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming.
The FDA reported that the manufacturer identified the problem during troubleshooting exercises related to pasteurization. As a precaution, the manufacturer voluntarily recalled the cottage cheese to prevent any potential health risks.
Walmart sold the recalled cottage cheese between February 17 and February 20. Customers who purchased the affected products can return them to the store for a refund.
For more details on the recall, customers are encouraged to contact Walmart or visit their local store.
