WHITE SWAN, Wash. – Yakima County Fire District 5 conducted controlled burns in White Swan as part of preparations for the upcoming 4th of July.
Residents and drivers in the area may have noticed burn scars, which are a result of these planned burns.
The controlled burns are part of efforts to reduce the risk of wildfires as Independence Day approaches.
