
SPOKANE, Wash. — Construction will be causing detours along East Wellesley Avenue in Spokane beginning Monday.
According to the city, East Wellesley Avenue will be closed in both directions between Freya Street and Havana Street so crews can work on a full reconstruction project.
Eastbound drivers will be detoured at Market Street, north to Francis Avenue, east to Havana Street and south to Wellesley Avenue.
Westbound drivers will be detoured at Havana Street, north to Francis Avenue, west to Freya Street and south to Wellesley Avenue.
The city says local access will be maintained for residents and businesses. Drivers should allow for extra time or use an alternative route.
The city says construction is expected to begin Monday and be completed by the end of July.
