WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Michael Baumgartner released a statement on Tuesday, responding to the passage of H.R. 7148, a government funding package that includes the Defense Appropriations Bill, ending the partial government shutdown.
The bill creates a chance for the Spokane Aerospace Tech Hub to access millions of dollars in future awards.
“This package opens the door for the Spokane Aerospace Tech Hub to compete for a critical stream of federal funding,” Baumgartner said. “My vote helps put Spokane back in the game to compete for up to $70 million for cutting-edge aerospace materials work—and to secure the jobs and innovation that come with it.”
