LOON LAKE, Wash. — Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) is set to host a Community Kickoff Rally to begin the build of a specially adapted home for Marine Sgt Joshua Elliott. The event will take place on Saturday, January 31, at Loon Lake Elementary.
The home build is part of HFOT’s mission to provide custom homes for severely injured post-9/11 veterans. These homes include over 40 special adaptations, such as wider halls and doorways, automatic door openers, and roll-under sinks.
Sgt Joshua Elliott, who was severely injured in Afghanistan, will receive the home at no cost. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Sgt Elliott and learn more about his journey.
The rally will begin at 10:00 a.m., with check-in starting at 9:30 a.m. Media interviews and b-roll opportunities are available, including the chance to speak with Sgt Elliott.
