Collision on SR 155 north of Nespelem injures one person

OKANOGAN COUNTY, Wash. – A personal injury collision on State Route 155, nine miles north of Nespelem, resulted in one person being injured, according to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol.

The incident occurred on December 18, 2025, at around 10:01 a.m. when a vehicle traveling northbound on SR 155 jackknifed, causing its trailer to swing into the southbound lanes. The trailer collided with another vehicle traveling southbound.

The collision involved a total of three vehicles, including one car and one truck. One person was injured and transported to Mid Valley Hospital. Julia Bucsko, the 55-year-old driver of the southbound vehicle, was identified as the injured party.

Robert Johnson, a 52-year-old from Colville, was driving the northbound vehicle. He was not injured in the crash and was wearing a seatbelt. Johnson was charged with driving at speeds too fast for the road conditions.

The press memo noted that road conditions were a factor in the incident. No drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash.
