BONNER COUNTY, Idaho – The Idaho State Police (ISP) are investigating a fatal collision that happened Saturday near Spirit Lake Cutoff Road and Beare Road.
A 70-year-old man from Hauser, Idaho was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle northbound on Spirit Lake Cutoff Road around 10:19 a.m. when he lost control navigating a curve. The motorcycle crossed into the southbound lane.
The motorcycle collided with a water truck moving southbound. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the ISP.
Traffic on Spirit Lake Cutoff Road was halted for about three hours as emergency responders assisted those involved.
The ISP will continue to investigate the incident.
