Collision causes major backup on westbound I-90 in Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. — A collision on Interstate 90 westbound is causing significant traffic delays, impacting New Year’s Eve travel for many drivers.

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) reported that the incident has reduced the road to one lane, just west of the US 195 interchange.

Drivers are advised to expect ongoing delays if traveling in this direction. The traffic backup extends past the Division exit along westbound I-90, according to WSDOT.

Travelers are encouraged to plan accordingly and consider alternate routes if possible.
