VIRGINIA — Colin DeMarco, a 26-year-old from Maryland, has been charged with multiple offenses, including attempted murder, following an incident that occurred on August 10.
According to an NBC News article, agents arrested DeMarco in January, and sources indicate that he allegedly targeted Russ Vought, the Director of the Federal Office of Management and Budget, though police have not officially identified Vought as the victim.
DeMarco was reportedly found wearing rubber gloves and a surgical mask, and he appeared to be concealing a gun at the time of the incident.
Detectives have uncovered digital records that allegedly show evidence of DeMarco’s intent to kill Vought.
