
COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — A Coeur d’Alene man has been sentenced for illegally killing multiple deer and elk in the Panhandle Region.
According to Idaho Fish and Game, the man was originally charged with two felony and four misdemeanor counts related to the killing of multiple deer and one elk in 2024.
Fish and Game says all the animals were taken at night with the help of artificial light.
On Friday, the man was sentenced to 60 days in jail, four years of probation, 200 hours of community service and a suspected 5 year prison sentence. The man must also pay $6,750 in restitution plus fines and court costs.
Fish and Game says the man will also have his hunting license revoked for 17 years and must complete an in-person hunter education course.
