COEUR d’ALENE, Idaho – After responding to a report about an unconscious elderly woman and finding her bloodied and severely injured, Coeur d’Alene Police Department are asking the public for information to add to their investigation.
Officers responded to the initial report on September 18 around 5:20 p.m., which brought them to a house on Skyline Drive.
When they arrived at the scene, they found a “significant amount of blood at the scene” and the woman was there with life-threatening injuries.
Emergency medical services on the scene brought her to Kootenai Health for treatment.
The Coeur d’Alene Police Department said that preliminary findings suggest that the woman was attacked.
Investigation is ongoing.
The department asked that anyone who saw suspicious activity near Skyline Drive or Royal Anne Drive during the timeframe to contact the police department at (208)-769-2320.
