Clarkston man sentenced for threats of mass violence

CLARKSTON, Wash. – A Clarkston man received a five-year prison sentence on Tuesday after making threats of mass murder and school shootings in eastern Washington.

Trevor Lunney, 39, was convicted in December of 2025. According to court documents, Lunney shared his violent plans with his community corrections officer in July 2022. These plans included a school shooting and a parade attack in Asotin.

In December 2022, Lunney escalated his threats by emailing intentions to kill his lawyer and prosecutors.

After serving his prison sentence, Lunney will face three years of supervised release.
