
SPOKANE, Wash. – For those caught in the chaos of un-decking their halls after the holiday season, a service from the City of Spokane re-starting January 2 may ease some of the burden.
The City of Spokane announced in a press release that it will offer free curbside Christmas tree pickup from January 2 through 12.
In order to qualify for pickup, trees must be:
Free of decoration Have trunks no bigger than 3 inches in diameter Up to 6 feet in height (if taller, the tree should be cut in half)
Trees must also be placed at least 3 feet away from recycling carts on their regularly scheduled garbage pickup days.
Artificial and flocked trees will not be eligible for pickup.
