LAPWAI, Idaho – A 10-year-old child was hit by a car while attempting to cross the road in the 3900 block of Lapwai Rd today, the Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office said in a release.
The child was transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for injuries reported as non-life threatening.
Further details on the incident have not been released, and deputies continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The incident occurred as the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office announced today that a 13-year-old on a bicycle was struck by a car in Hayden, Idaho.
The teen was transported to a local hospital with several broken bones and a head injury, but is expected to make a full recovery.
