CHEWELAH, Wash. – A major improvement project on US-395 is set to begin next month, aiming to enhance transportation for all modes, including bikes and pedestrians.
The Washington State Department of Transportation announced the project will cover roughly 5 miles, involving the removal and repaving of existing pavement. This includes upgrading sidewalks, bike lanes, and installing rumble strips.
Construction is expected to wrap up in October, providing safer and more efficient travel options for the Chewelah community.
