CHENEY, Wash. – A Cheney woman faced her first court appearance today, accused of having sex with a 14-year-old boy.

Sydney Yagmai was charged following an investigation that began when a woman, described in court documents as one of Yagmai’s “sister wives,” contacted the police.

The charges arose after the woman discovered Yagmai’s alleged relationship with the boy and called authorities to their shared home in Cheney. Officers arrested Yagmai on charges of child rape.

Court documents indicated that Yagmai and the woman who reported the incident consider themselves “sister wives,” as they both view themselves as married to the same man.

Yagmai is being held in jail on a $20,000 bond as the investigation continues.
