
CHENEY, Wash. — Police are investigating a shooting in Cheney and are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
According to a press release from the Cheney Police Department, officers received calls around 5:30 a.m. Saturday reporting an argument followed by several gunshots in the area of 1090 Betz Road. Callers also reported a car speeding away from the scene.
Police said that officers found a gun at the scene that had been discharged during a fight. Three people were detained in connection with the incident.
Police said that there is no ongoing threat to the community. Anyone who witnessed the incident, has additional information or has video footage — including doorbell or security camera footage — from the area at that time is asked to contact Crime Check at 509-456-2233 and reference case number 2026-81002185.
