SPOKANE, Wash. – CHAS Health will host two memorial events to honor the 217 people who died while experiencing homelessness this year in their service area.
This annual tradition aims to raise awareness of the struggles faced by those without a home in Spokane, CHAS said in a release.
The first event will take place on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the CHAS Health Lewis & Clark Health Center in Lewiston, ID.
The second event is scheduled for Monday, December 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the CHAS Health Denny Murphy Clinic in Spokane, WA.
Both events are open to the public, and a warm lunch will be provided. Attendees are advised to dress appropriately as the events will be held outdoors.
These memorials will feature speakers dedicated to ending homelessness and will include a tribute to the individuals who have passed.
A visual representation of those who died will be displayed with individual names on the fence outside the Denny Murphy Clinic.
Across the United States, more than 771,000 individuals experience homelessness on any given night.
Similar memorial events are held nationwide around the Winter Solstice to highlight the tragedy of homelessness and remember those who have died without a home.
