SPRING, Texas – Erika Kirk, wife of the late Charlie Kirk, addressed the public for the first time today since her husband’s passing. Her heartfelt speech, available on the Turning Point YouTube channel, emphasized gratitude and determination to continue her husband’s mission.
Erika began by thanking the Turning Point board of directors, staff and key figures who supported her during this difficult time. She expressed appreciation for the Vice President, JD Vance and Usha Vance, highlighting their support, along with a mention of the President.
In an emotional moment, she deviated from her prepared script, sharing a personal anecdote about her daughter.
“When I got home last night, Gigi, our daughter, just ran into my arms,” Erika said.
“She goes, where’s Daddy? What do you tell a three-year-old? She’s three. I said, baby, Daddy loves you so much. Don’t you worry. He’s on a work trip with Jesus so he can afford your blueberry budget,” Erika said.
Erika also referred to Charlie as a martyr and expressed her determination to carry on his work.
“You have no idea the fire that you have ignited within this wife,” she said, “the cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry.”
Her address, delivered just 30 hours after Charlie’s passing, was filled with emotion and resolve. Erika’s message underscored her commitment to continue the mission her husband started.
