COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – Coeur d’Alene residents have been observing an unusual surge in law enforcement activity, sparking curiosity and concern.
Smoke has been visible, though it has decreased since the initial hours. Law enforcement moved media back to accommodate more firefighting equipment, which is now present at the scene.
In addition to fire crews, several evidence vans, marked and unmarked law enforcement cars, and a tow truck have been seen heading up the mountain. Jim Pierce, a local resident, shared his experience: “It was an emotional night when my wife got home… surreal, it gave us all such pause.”
Residents are eager to learn more about the suspect involved and their motivations, as this level of activity is uncommon in the area.
