Catherine O’Hara dead at 71

Catherine O’Hara, who played iconic roles in “Home Alone”, “Schitt’s Creek”, “Beetlejuice” and more, is dead at 71.

Numerous outlets, including ABC News and Variety magazine, said her manager confirmed the news of her death on Friday but did not share any more details.

O’Hara most recently starred in Seth Rogan’s “The Studio” and HBO’s “The Last of Us.”

She frequently played roles in Christopher Guest’s films like “Best in Show” and “A Mighty Wind” and voiced roles in animated movies like “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” “Frankenweenie,” “Monster House” and “Chicken Little.”

She also starred in Martin Scorsese’s 1985 film “After Hours.”
