SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Fire Department (SFD) responded to the GoGo Heights Apartments in the 7000 block of North Colton Street after a car drove into one of the apartment buildings on Wednesday night.
SFD personnel at the scene reported that the department was notified about the incident just before 8 p.m.
Authorities attributed the crash to a “simple miscommunication with gas and brake,” causing the driver to strike the apartment wall.
The SFD Technical Rescue Team was dispatched, having to tear down more of the wall in order to secure the structure.
No injuries were reported from the incident, and the tenant of the apartment involved has not been displaced as a result of the damage.
