ALMOTA, Wash. – The Busch Bridge on State Highway 194 in Whitman County is set to close for several months starting Monday for necessary repairs, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).
WSDOT announced that contractor crews will demolish portions of the bridge and replace the driving surface. The repair work aims to preserve the bridge’s structure.
During this closure, drivers will not have access across the bridge. The closure is expected to last until June 1.
However, Highway 194 north of the Almota Docks will remain open. Drivers should anticipate potential lane closures and one-way, alternating traffic during the movement of equipment and materials.
